Oh, Gussy.

First of all, I just have to say it. My sweetheart is amazing. =)

Look at what he surprised me with this week...

Now, if you didn't know already, I absolutely love Gussy stuff. LOVE it! If you've never seen any of Maggie's work before, you are missing out. Seriously, check out her shop.

And Maggie is one of the sweetest people I have ever met via blog. She really is. Have you ever read her blog? She's even giving away an adorable zipped pouch this weekend!

This really was just a post to sing the praises of Gussy. Is that pathetic?

Naw...

In other news:

2 of my Christmas card designs are up in my shop, and you can see them here. I'll hopefully be putting up more over the weekend. Click here to see a special preview of all 5 designs.

I am twittering again! You can see some of my tweets in the sidebar, or you can follow me to see what I'm up to. Other than that, I've got nothin'. My brain is dead. =)

Happy Friday!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

I know, it's only October.

But is it beginning to look like Christmas where you live?

I love Christmas. The cool weather (it's never truly cold in Florida), the music, a real Christmas tree, making cookies and pies, going to parties, being with friends and family, buying gifts, wrapping them beautifully (my favorite part!), receiving gifts...It's all so much fun.

I decided that I wanted to make Christmas cards to add to my shop. I love to make them, and who wouldn't love to get a handmade card in the mail? So on Tuesday, I cleaned off my desk, pulled out my Christmas supplies, and got to work!

What do you think? Which design is your favorite? I would really love to hear your feed back. I'll tell you that my personal favorite is Two Trees, but The Sweetheart favors Peace on Earth. =)

Currently, I've only listed Two Trees and Cozy Snowman in the shop. The rest will be coming very shortly, definitely by Monday. If you need some Christmas cards this year, I would LOVE to work with you!

Maternal?

Yesterday, I was babysitting most of the morning. Now, I will tell you that babysitting is not necessarily my favorite past time in the world, but I like to help out. So I woke up earlier than I usually do on a Monday morning, and off I went.

Most of  my babysitting jobs are for kids. As in older than 3 and younger than 10. Yesterday I got to watch a baby. And he is the sweetest 6 month old I have ever met.

Seriously, if I would have had a camera, he would have been smiles for every picture. He just smiles all the time! And it's SO cute.

(If I could be sure all my babies would act like him, I'd have a lot of them!)

I like babies a lot. I really do. But sometimes, especially if they cry a lot, I have no idea what to do with them. But this particular baby cried twice. Once when he was tired, once when he was hungry. I can handle that.

(Now, I'm not a mother, but even to me this baby seemed *almost* too good to be true. Is anyone else thinking that?)

My favorite part of the whole day was his naptime. I was sitting in a big rocking recliner, patting his back, and he just...fell asleep. Right there.

I loved it.

I could have put him down in his crib to nap, but I didn't. I didn't want to!

I don't know how many kids I will have, but I definitely want a few. Especially if they end up as sweet as that little one. =)

For you mamas reading, what special memories do you have from when your kids were babies?

Returning!

Ah, The Sweetest Petunia.

I've missed you.

But now I have returned, and I'm excited. =)

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel kind of bad for the flip-flop in blogging. I'm usually indecisive, but I'm not usually quite so back-and-forth. But now I'm here to stay, hopefully for a long time.

I didn't plan anything specific to post today, so this will be kind of a stew of random topics.

First off, I've just gotta say thanks. To all my great blog followers who are (surprise!) still here even though I've been gone for a month. And to my new followers from {This Time Around}, who followed me back here. I know everyone says thanks, but I've got to. 'Cause I really do mean it.

I would love to do something special for each of my followers, but there's like 90 of you...so you may have to settle for a giveaway. But I have to work out details before I do that. Hopefully I'll be able to announce something special soon. =)

In the meantime, how have you been? Posted anything fun lately? Taken a vacation? Written a book? (Just threw that last one in there for fun, though I do believe someone is working on a novel...)

Have I ever mentioned here before that I love comments? Well, I do. Tell me what you think about my blog, ask questions, suggest new bloggy reads...Anything at all.

It's official now. I'm back to my "home" for blogging now. And I'll be posting again soon, so stay tuned. =)

(And just a reminder, the URL is now sweetestpetunia.blogspot.com)

Quick Change...

Okay, now the URL for The Sweetest Petunia is simply
sweetestpetunia.blogspot.com. Got that? I promise that's the last URL
change, but I thought this may be simpler. Update your readers! I
think The Sweetest Petunia will be returning soon...Hopefully!

Hey, I Have an Announcement!

Oh, how I've missed this blog.

I'm loving my new blog, {This Time Around}, but I miss being The Sweetest Petunia. I really do.

So I may be coming back...

But I need some people to help me out. Tell me what you think I should do. Good, bad, ugly, I don't care. Just tell me how you feel about it. Please!

**I encourage you to visit this post to read more about how I'm feeling. I really need your input!

P.S. I'm changing the URL here to thepetuniasweet.blogspot.com, so please update your readers (etc.) accordingly!
