I have to confess...

I love blogging. I really, really do.
But with the blog world, it becomes easy for me to compare.
To become discontent with who I am.
With my life, my shop, my clothes, etc.

But, there are a few things I'm sure of.

No one in this world can be a better me.


Even if I don't blog about the "right" trends,
the latest DIY projects,
don't have the cutest clothes out there,
am not a great photographer.
I get discouraged & distracted,
and I waste more time than I care to admit.

There's so much I'm not,
but there's also so much that I am.

I am a child of the Most High.
His love & grace carry me through
everything I do, even the failures.

I am married to the sweetest husband.
I am a wife, and I make that a priority,
even if it means that I spend most of my day
doing dishes & laundry.

I am a lover of color, of creativity,
of good coffee and good books.
I stitch & snip & take out stitches
when I get it wrong.
I love music & song & melody.

I'm silly & kinda strange.
Unique & curious.
Shy & insecure.

I am just me.
& I'm thankful that I'm me.

Also, just so you know,
I'm trying to make it okay if I don't blog every single day.
I don't want my blog to get in the way of living life.
I will definitely still be posting, but if I feel like I have nothing to say,
I'm choosing to be okay with that. ;)

{it's a SALE!}

My poor little shop has been a little neglected lately;

Between wedding preparations, everyday life, sewing for an upcoming craft fair...

{it also doesn't help that it's been raining - can't take product photos without sunshine!}

BUT, I do have lots of new lovelies that I want to share,

once I find time to take some photos. :)

In the meantime, I've been thinking about how to improve my shop, 

and I've been feeling the need to simplify.

So, I've put some of the lovelies in my shop on SALE!

I hope you'll stop by and shop the sale,

and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on!

Sometimes I feel like there's just not enough time in the day to accomplish every little thing I'd like to.

Sometimes I just get overwhelmed.

That being said, I'm taking a little bloggy break.

Don't worry, it's not forever. I will be back!

I'll check my email, read other blogs, hopefully catch up on commenting...

but The Sweetest Petunia needs some rest.

I'll also be logging off of Twitter for a while.

{I can waste SO much time on there!}

I will definitely miss all of you, but I'm taking this chance so I can get some things done, without the pressure of posting on the blog as well.

{thursday thoughts}

Good morning!

I'm sitting in my usual chair, sipping coffee from my cheerful yellow mug, trying to gather my thoughts. Have I ever mentioned that I'm not a morning person?
