summer sunglasses {Firmoo review}

Summer in Florida is HOT & BRIGHT.

I love my state & I've never wanted to live anywhere else,

but I won't lie and say it's not rough sometimes. ;)

I recently got to choose a pair of glasses from Firmoo;

since I don't wear Rx glasses, sunglasses seemed like the perfect option!

Firmoo.com offers a ton of options as far as glasses go,

you can shop by style/shape/etc,

and you can get your 1st pair for free!

Firmoo also offers a Virtual Try-On system,

which I think is great if you aren't sure which frames you want.

I chose this fun pair, #OTO3570

They're a bit different from my usual sunglasses choices,

but I actually like them a lot!

The frames are big enough to protect my eyes

from that bright sunshine, and they're really comfy.

They arrived with a hard plastic case,

a soft pouch case, a repair kit, & a cleaning cloth.

I've been keeping the soft case in my purse so the glasses stay safe,

and the cleaning cloth is perfect since

I always seem to get fingerprints on my sunnies.

Overall, I was very happy with my Firmoo experience;

I'll be wearing these shades all summer! ;)

As you work on lovelies for your shop, how do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in all sorts of places, but they usually are very practical. My shop's best sellers are the "Place I Love" prints, and the original idea came about when my husband and I were driving from VA to CO a few months ago. When we crossed the Georgia border, I decided to draw the state with the phrase "Georgia on my Mind." I never would have dreamed that my car ride entertainment would blossom into a whole print series!

What is your favorite item in your shop right now?

I love the Bushel and a Peck print... I'm 9 months pregnant and have been singing that song to my baby ever since we found out that we were expecting. I can't wait to sing it to her face-to-face!

I love color, but just little pops of it. I find inspiration in the feeling I get when I wear something pretty...and hoping to make others feel the same way.

Hi! My name is Alissa and I blog over at Rags to Stitches. I'm married to the love of my life and we've been together for almost 7 years. In that time we've had our fair share of adventures and I'm so excited for the many more to come. My career began as an elementary and middle school teacher and shifted after the birth of our beautiful baby girl Miss K in 2008. Miss K is now two and a half and is one of the most precious joys of our lives. Her smile and laughter can brighten anyone's day. In late 2009 we were blessed with another bundle of joy, who we lovingly refer to as Buddy. He is my sensitive, cuddle bug and already looks up to his sister. Being 17 months apart, I'm not going to lie, they keep me on my toes, but I'd rather dance around on my toes all day, then miss a single moment with them.

Rags to Stitches Boutique, the shop, was born in 2009. I had begun sewing when I was pregnant with Miss K. You know that constant urge to create, organize and nest.... well that's where it started for me. A self-taught sewer, not perfect, but learning, I began sewing things for my little girl and suddenly others began asking me if I would make those things for them. First it was burp cloths and nursing cover ups, then wipes cases and infant car seat canopies. After some nudging from my husband, the loving entrepreneur, I created Rags to Stitches. I could have never imagined it would grow into the business it has and I'm so blessed to be a work at home mom.

How do you find inspiration for your work?

Lately I've been finding a lot of inspiration on Pinterest. I find colors, styles, words of inspiration that spark new ideas to create. My biggest passion though is my blog. I love sharing my family's adventures.
