Thirty One party!

Hey friends!
My sister-in-law introduced me to Thirty One products
a few years back, & I fell in love quick. ;)

I have several bags/totes/organizers, and they are so handy.
I've used one as a knitting bag for a few months,
one to carry my multitude of library books,
one to organize my linen closet, to tote sewing supplies,
one even went around the world with me!

I'm excited to have a virtual Thirty One party coming up on June 4th,
& I'd like to invite YOU!
The party will be happening on Facebook, so if you'd like to attend,
please send me an email & I'll get you set up.
I was a part of one recently, and it was so much fun;
you can stay in the comfort of your own home (pajama party, anyone?!),
interact with some awesome ladies & learn about all Thirty One has to offer.
Who doesn't love online shopping? ;)

Oh, and the June special is fabulous:
I'd love it if you could join me next Tuesday night,
but if you can't make it to the party,
you can still shop right here.
Let me know if you have any questions,
& hope to "see you" there! :)

{diy ideas} washi tape!

I've seen washi tape popping up all over the place lately!
I'm probably the last to know {that's usually me when it comes to trends...},
but I think there are so many cute patterns & designs
And it's so versatile!

So, I just wanted to share some fun projects
I've found that you can do with washi tape.
Like...

these sweet little washi flowers

makeover a plain notebook

and a favorite of mine, washi bunting.

I'm pretty certain that I need to get some of this tape SOON so I can start creating!

I've seen cute washi tape here & here...
If you have a washi tape source, do share!

Happy Monday, everyone!

{sunshine and carousels} - DIY gift toppers!

I just happened upon this lovely post from Erin {sunshine and carousels}, and I just had to share!

See all those gorgeous gifts?
{Wrapping presents is one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season, actually!}

For my gifts, I went for the simple look, "brown paper packages tied up with string".
Erin posted all sorts of lovely topper ideas, and I plan on making at least a few of them.

Be sure to read Erin's post for fabulous ideas & directions - I know you'll love it, too!

creating a {mostly} handmade holiday

I love handmade. I really, really do.
So this year for Christmas, I decided that I wanted to make as many gifts as I could.
I'm almost done!

My gift list included an array of crocheted projects, sewing, and a little hot glue. :)
I found three ideas that would be so fun to give as gifts, just in case you need some ideas.

I made a few of these flowers {in a smaller size} into pins.
They're so lovely, and really, really easy.
I just hot-glued mine instead of sewing them.

If you know how to crochet, this is the perfect easy gift idea.
I've made three of these already!
{and many thanks to Lisa for sharing it with us!}

I haven't made this pouch {although I have made some other ruffled goodies for gifts},
but it looks so cute, and the step-by-step instructions look fairly simple.

Edie also hosted a {12 Days of Handmade Christmas} if you need more ideas!

What have you been making lately?
